While English is of course my native language, I am perfectly fluent in German as well, having learned it from my mother as a child. It has for many years been a passion of mine to help those younger than me succeed in their academic goals. English is something I have started teaching online since moving to Germany, prior to which I primarily tutored students in mathematics and writing. My main goal when teaching is to create an environment where the students are comfortable enough to make mistakes, to motivate them to want to improve on those mistakes, and to support them with kindness when they cannot find that motivation. To achieve this I always start out by gaging a student's level and what their strengths and weaknesses are, and based off of that I design a personalized curriculum for their goals. I am also more than happy to provide references to anyone interested.
